The hosts
Raquel Barmet-Garcia, the wife of Roland Barmet comes from Villafranca del Bierzo. The finca was acquired by the Barmet-Garcia family in 1992. Since then, investments have been made mainly in the transformation of the boutique winery. Over the course of the past several years, in addition to the age-old olive trees, new trees have been planted and a second mainstay has been established with olive oil. The farm is independently managed by oenologist Victor Arroyo Alba, who produces its own "esencial" wines and olive oils and presses them in Pieros.
In 2011, the house, which is over 100 years old, was then preserved and cultivated. In 2021, the construction of a boutique guest house with four guest rooms took place. Starting in summer 2022, guests will be welcomed here for the first time and will be personally looked after by the host family.
